The Allegan County Food Pantry was founded in 1991 by the Allegan Ministerium and has gone by several different names:  Allegan Ministerium Central Food Pantry, Allegan County Central Food Pantry, and at present, Allegan County Food Pantry.  The Pantry became independent after a period of time and was located downtown Allegan at the old ACRDC building (presently, the Community Action of Allegan County), and is now housed inside the Bridge Church of Allegan.  The ACFP is governed by a board of directors made up  residents/leaders from all around Allegan County.

Allegan County Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
